The education Hopkins provides is funded primarily from tuition, which is set annually and is $28,400 for the 2008-2009 school year. In addition to tuition, every family is expected to pay an activities fee. For the 2008-2009 academic year, the fee is $350. The activities fee and a non-refundable tuition deposit of 10% of the ensuing year's tuition are due when a student's enrollment contract is submitted. Families may choose to pay the balance of the tuition in one of two ways:

Two payments: Under this plan, families pay the first tuition balance installment, equal to 50% of the student's full-year tuition obligation, on or before August 1st and the second tuition balance installment, equal to 40% of the student's full-year tuition obligation, on or before December 1st.

Ten payments: Under this plan, families pay ten equal monthly tuition installments through one of the two payment services approved by Hopkins - TuitionPay Plan from Sallie Mae or Tuition Management Systems through Key Bank. The first payment is due May 1st and the remaining nine payments are due the first day of each succeeding month. For TuitionPay Plan, there is a $55 application fee and for Tuition Management Systems there is a $40 application fee. No interest is charged so long as payments are made in accordance with the payment schedule.
