Today at assembly, senior Acacia Courtney wowed the Hopkins community with her dance partner Andrew Philips with impecable ballroom dancing.

In "Dancing With the Stars" fashion, Acacia and Andrew performed five ballroom dances for everyone at assembly with precision and grace. Acacia has been leaving balancing her school work at Hopkins with traveling to New York City for her dance classes every day for four years. She was glad to be able to share with her peers the hard work she has put in throughout her Hopkins education. Courtney and Philips have been partners for a number of years as well, and placed 4th in the 2007 International Latin World Dancesport Championships. Acacia also competes in pageant competitions and was named the 2009 Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen last summer. We thank Acacia and her partner Andrew for their thrilling performance at assembly and wish them luck in further competitions!
