Latin and Greek Awards

Many Hopkins Students recently took the National Greek and Latin Exams, as well as competed in the COLT Poetry contest and the CT State Latin Day. Read on to read about the awards received by these students.
NATIONAL GREEK EXAM Intermediate Attic Exam: 272 students took this test nationally, only 75 got this (3rd place) distinction: Green Ribbon – Merit award Emilia Hernandez Greg Schaefer Adam Hallet Sara Arthurs NATIONAL LATIN EXAM 221 students in grades 7-12 took the National Latin Exam 151 won awards 44 in Grade 7 won awards 31 Outstanding Scores (37-40) 13 Achievement Scores (35-36) 107 in Grades 8-12 won awards 43 Summa cum Laude (Gold medals) 24 Maxima cum Laude (Silver medals) 21 Magna cum Laude 19 cum Laude Perfect Scores in Junior School – Only 797 students internationally (out of 18,800) earned a perfect score
