10th Annual Golf Tournament
5/19/10
Hopkins alumni/ae, faculty, staff and friends arrived at the Orange Hills Country Club early Monday morning, May 17th to play golf and raise money for student scholarships.
It was a perfect day for golf, with 32 teams and 128 golfers driving and putting their way around the course. As each team finished their game, everyone gathered at the clubhouse for lunch under the tent. The Alumni/ae Association Golf Committee, headed by Judy Smith-Morgan ’79, Ernie Williams '71 HGS and Cindi Gagnon '77, offered a raffle and silent auction with incredible prizes including a trip to Scotland for two, golf lessons, sports tickets and much more. The net proceeds of the day go entirely toward providing scholarships for Hopkins students. Thanks to the generosity of the players and Judy Smith-Morgan, who donated the use of the Orange Hills County Club free of charge, approximately $50,000 was raised for scholarships this year during the 10th annual Golf Tournament. A big thank you and congratulations to all the players, volunteers, donors and the Alumni/ae Association for their incredible efforts.
