HDA presents "Twelve Angry Jurors"

The first drama production of of the year, "Twelve Angry Jurors" was performed in the Townshend Auditorium in Lovell Hall at 7pm for three consecutive nights— Thursday, October 22 through Saturday, October 24.

Hope Hartup, the Director of the play, writes "On a sweltering August afternoon in New York City, twelve jurors enter a deliberation room to determine whether a young man accused of murdering his father will face the death penalty. Finding themselves in the role of potential executioners, these nameless jurors must confront themselves, their biases and their own understanding of American justice. What begins as an open-and-shut case quickly becomes a gripping drama as the jurors begin to question how to cast their votes. A staple of high school theater programs nationwide, Twelve Angry Jurors is a gender mixed adaptation of Reginald Rose’s famous play and movie, Twelve Angry Men".
