Student-Directed Winter One-Acts: An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein

This year HDA's student-directed Winter One-Acts, written by Shel Silverstein, were performed the evenings of December 11 and 12 in Lovell Hall.

"Over the last couple of years, we have noticed an interest in the HDA Theatre community for students to direct, whether it be in Video Production class, a new club called Student Productions or through Senior Projects. Last year, we set out to give the high school students an opportunity to direct their peers at the first Student Written & Directed One Acts. At that time we had four students step forward to direct; this year, we have eleven! Student Directors experience the joys and frustrations with directing a theatrical piece and learn what it takes to take charge of all aspects of a show. I hope you find these short pieces as enjoyable to watch as it was for me to help these young directors fulfill their visions". (Excerpt from the program)
