On July 25, a team of Hopkins swimmers participated in the annual SWIM Across the Sound marathon. Mollie Seidner '16, Katharine Larsen '17, Gwyneth Maloy '17, Phil Ross '17, Evan Schott '18, and Michael Zhu '17 made up the Hopkins Hilltoppers team. The Hilltoppers won first place with a time of five hours, 54 minutes, and 32 seconds, crushing the previous record of 8:15:20.
Hopkins athletes were well represented on the New Haven Register’s All-Area Spring sports teams for Boys and Girls Tennis, Boys Golf, and Boys and Girls Lacrosse:
In swimming news, Erin Earley '17 and Gwyneth Maloy '17 competed in the Fran Crippen Meet of Champions in Mission Viejo, CA earlier this summer from June 25-28. Over 1,000 swimmers from the United States and Canada participated in the meet. Erin Earley won the 200 meter backstroke competition.
