This morning, the Hopkins community welcomed the 109th Head of School, Kai Bynum to campus at an all-school assembly.
Mrs. Riley began assembly with a remembrance of 9/11, after which Vincent Calarco, President of the Committee of Trustees introduced Dr. Bynum to the assembled faculty, staff and students. Dr. Bynum expressed his thanks to the search committee and his excitement to be joining the Hopkins community in July 2016. He shared he had been impressed with the history, community and culture of Hopkins when he visited in 2013 on the NEASC Accreditation committee. Following his remarks, Dr. Bynum fielded an open question and answer session with students and faculty. He spent the rest of the day meeting with members of the Administrative Board, Academic Policy Committee and the Head Advisers, and concluded his visit with a sit down interview with Michael Bass ’16, Editor in Chief and Sanaea Bhagwagar '17, Entertainment Editor of TheRazor.
