This year Hopkins has allocated more than $3 million in financial assistance to 19.4% of our students and their families. This assistance is need-based.
Families who anticipate needing financial aid at any time during their child's career at Hopkins should apply for aid at the same time as the admissions application.
• It is not possible for Hopkins to consider requests for financial
assistance after admission decisions are made.
• Students who apply for financial aid may be in a more competitive
situation for admission to Hopkins.
• Financial aid is available primarily to United States citizens.
Families apply for financial aid at the same time they apply for admission. A completed financial aid application consists of the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) and income verification in the form of tax returns. Please see specifics below.
We use School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. Based on the financial information you provide, SSS gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses. This helps us make fair and objective financial aid decisions.
