Honors for Hopkins at the New England Prep School Swimming & Diving Championships


The Hopkins Swimming & Diving team concluded their 2014-2015 season with participation in the New England Prep School Swimming and Diving Championships held at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire last weekend, March 7 & 8.

The Hopkins Swimming & Diving team concluded their 2014-2015 season with participation in the New England Prep School Swimming and Diving Championships held at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire last weekend, March 7 & 8.

When the meet was over it found the Hopkins boys in 10th place and the girls in 4th place.

Some notable record-breaking performances included:
• Mollie Seidner ’16 broke the school record in the 50 free.
• Gwyneth Maloy ’17 broke the school record in the 200 free only to have Erin Earley ’17 break Gwyneth's record on Sunday.
• Erin Earley ’17 broke not only the school record in the 500 free and 100 back, but also the Exeter pool, and the New England records. She also broke the school record in the 100 free. All of Erin's swims this weekend qualified her for All-American consideration. The league coaches also voted Erin to receive the Grace Robertson Award for being the MVP of the meet.

• The 200 Free Relay and the 400 Free Relay teams consisting of Mollie Seidner ’16, Rica Generoso ’16, Erin Earley ’17 and Gwyneth Maloy ’17 broke the school record and qualified for All-American consideration.
