Over the Thanksgiving vacation, a dozen members of the Hopkins Boys Lacrosse team participated in the Sticks For Soldiers Charity Lacrosse Tournament, along with over 60 teams from around Connecticut and beyond. Sticks For Soldiers, now in its ninth year, raises funds for disabled veterans. This year’s tournament raised over $115,000 and our team was able to chip in $1000 toward the cause.

Our Hopkins boys team has been a fixture at the event, appearing every year except the very first one, and this tournament has become poignant in a season when we all can give thanks for what we have. The team thanks those who were able to make a contribution and looks forward to next year's event.

Representatives this year were seniors Bob Davis, Will Pitkin, Alex McMahon, Kamsi Nwangwu, and Jackson Kleeman, juniors Mitchell Patton, Miles Lourenco, Grant Moberg, Riley Kesselring, Tom Coughlin, and Justin Nitirouth, and sophomore Dylan Matthes. Alum Justin Nitirouth coached the boys, assisted by "Coach" Dean Moberg.
