Students win the Yale Physics Olympics!

Over the weekend, two Hopkins teams of 4 students competed at the Yale Physics Olympics for the first time, and one of the teams won!

Science teachers Jennifer Stauffer and Sarah Leite took two teams of 4 Hopkins students each to compete in Yale's Physics Olympics on Saturday October 23 (Homecoming!). This is the first year that Hopkins has entered-- and, of 53 teams from New England, one of our Hopkins teams won the entire competition! Woo-hoo!

Team "Duality" (the first place team) consisted of Veena Krish, Justin Manley, Claire Stepanik, and Sophia Chua-Rubenfeld and team "Photon" consisted of Rahul Dhodapkar, Alex Siegenfeld, Luyi Zhang, and Neal BasuMullick. Congratulations to all the students, and be on the lookout a giant physics-themed trophy somewhere on campus in the not too distant future!
