Students visit Québec

From January 13-16, Hopkins junior school students enjoyed a four-day weekend excursion to Québec. The Hopkins delegation included 87 students and 9 chaperones. The first day of their adventure included a long bus ride north, and upon arrival in Québec they enjoyed toboggan rides and dinner of soup and crépes. On Day 2 they enjoyed curling, dog sledding, and a visit to a maple sugar shack. On the third day, they spent some time learning the history of Quebec and the Plains of Abraham, visited Montmorency Falls, which is higher than Niagra Falls, but not as wide. The final stop on their tour included a visit to the Hotel de Glace and the chance to snow tube. The weary travelers returned home to Connecticut on Monday, January 16, just in time to start Term II with memories of a wonderful school trip with their classmates.
