Hopkins at the Global Education Leadership Symposium

On Saturday February 4, five faculty members, eight current students and one recent graduate attended the first annual Global Education Leadership Symposium at the King School in Stamford, CT. Faculty and students from across Connecticut and the New York City metro area heard from keynote speaker Derrick Gay, attended workshop offerings, and engaged in dialogue across age groups and schools. Participants discussed service learning, meaningful travel and cultural immersion, design thinking, and how to promote an awareness and understanding of others across the globe. Our very own Ms. Bennitt facilitated a workshop on planning her summer immersion trip to Nicaragua. Ms. Bennitt was joined by Simon Doss-Gollin '16, who attended the trip as a student.

The Hopkins group left the conference with new ideas and enthusiasm to bring their knowledge back to our community!
