HDA nominated for 14 HALO Awards!

The Seven Angel's Theater in Waterbury announced it's 2017 HALO Awards nominations yesterday with 14 going to three HDA productions!

The fall production of Othello, the winter musical Godspell and the spring comedy One Man, Two Guv'nors received a nice spread of HALO nods.

The list of Hopkins nominations below puts Hopkins shoulder to shoulder with peer private schools like Fairfield and Suffield Academies as well as public and arts magnet schools.

Nominated students from Hopkins will travel to Waterbury next Wednesday, May 31st for the Awards Ceremony at the beautiful Palace Theater. The evening has been described as the Tony Awards for Connecticut High School theater programs. Attendees dress to the nines and enjoy performances from all of the nominated schools. Hopkins will be performing All For The Best from Godspell, which, you will see below, is nominated for BEST SPECIALTY ENSEMBLE!

Please wish the cast and crew of these shows luck and "break a leg" next Wednesday. While it would be nice to bring home a few HALOS we are already so proud of our nominees!

Congratulations to all the nominees, as well as HDA directors Mike Calderone and Hope Hartup!
