Retrospective Celebrates 40 Years of Eric Mueller

Eric Mueller, beloved art teacher and coach will be retiring this year after 40 years at Hopkins. To celebrate his tenure, a retrospective of his art has opened in Keator Gallery. The exhibition displays a collection of his work in a variety of mediums including painting, drawing, print, sculpture, and spans his lifetime with the earliest piece from an elementary school art project to today. His vibrant work shows the many faces of Eric, including self portraits, caricatures of colleagues, fictional and historical figures, sculpture from found objects and a series of “dino-trucks” he explored in his graduate work. This show is not to be missed.

If you are in the area on Thursday, March 29, please join us for a reception to mark Eric’s retirement and celebrate his contributions in art, teaching and coaching at Hopkins during his 40 year tenure. The event will be held from 6:00–7:30pm in the Keator Gallery and Calarco Library. Please RSVP here if you are able to attend.
