Four HALO Awards for HDA’s "Peter & The Starcatcher" and "Heathers: The Musical"

Congratulations to the Hopkins Drama Association (HDA) who brought home 4 HALO awards at a special evening of performances and awards at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Wednesday, May 30.

Hopkins winners were:
Andrew Treat for BEST COMIC MALE PERFORMANCE IN A PLAY as Black Stache in Peter And The Starcatcher.

Naomi Roberts, Katie Broun & Kiarra Lavache for BEST SPECIALTY ENSEMBLE as “The Heathers” in Candy Store in Heathers: The Musical.

Nate Stratton & Jamie Donovan for BEST PERFORMANCE BY A COUPLE OR DYNAMIC DUO OR MORE IN A MUSICAL as Kurt & Ram in Heathers: The Musical.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A CAST IN AN ENSEMBLE PLAY OR MUSICAL for Peter And The Starcatcher.

The HDA crew spent a fun evening hosted by the Seven Angels Theatre, dressed to impress and rubbing shoulders with their peers from around the state. The Heathers cast performed “My Dead Gay Son” featuring Colin Flaumenhaft and Dylan Sloan to the packed theater, and received "a thunderous standing ovation!"
