The Hopkins Boys Varsity Water Polo team is off to an exciting start to the season. Last year the team had a winning record and won big games in the league, including wins over teams like Suffield Academy (a team Hopkins Water Polo had never beaten before).
The team looks to build on last year’s success and hopefully make the New England’s Tournament. Led by Captains Brian Seiter ‘19, Ben Washburne ‘19, and Zubin Kenkare ‘19, the team is in great position to make a run for the tournament. Seiter ‘19 says that “Hopkins Water Polo has been steadily improving over the last three years, and we are really hoping to make the New England Tournament this year, which would be the second time in school history.”
Currently sitting at a record of 1-1, Hopkins Water Polo’s first home game is against Choate at 3:00 this Wednesday.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
