Field Hockey Wrap Up

Amanda Leone '20
The Varsity Field Hockey team once again made it to the FAA Quarterfinals after an exciting victory in double over time against King on November 1st. The game was against GFA.

Earlier in the season, the team lost to GFA, at home, 5-3.  The girls, however, went into the game with high energy and lots of optimism.

Throughout the game, the girls fought hard and hustled for every ball. The final score was 1-0 in favor of GFA. While they did not win the game, the girls were so proud of their improvement in comparison to the earlier game.

After losing three extremely skilled players who graduated last year, the future of this season was unexpected. Through a lot of experimenting and determination, this year’s team made remarkable improvements and developments in skill and strength.

This year, the team says goodbye to seven seniors, but in the future, the team will continue to be built around friendship and hard work. While the final record for the season was 4-10-1, the girls worked hard and together, building each other up. Hopes are extremely high for next year, knowing that through anything, the team can push forward and work together to have a fun and successful season.
