Student Visual Artists and Musicians Recognized

We are proud to announce that three Hopkins students won top regional awards in the Scholastic Art Competition this year. Congratulations to Abby Fossati and Melody Parker on being awarded Silver Keys in photography and printmaking, respectively, and to Kate Loffredo for winning a Gold Key award in photography. These students' works will be on display at the University of Hartford's Silpe Gallery until February 1st.

On January 11-12, twenty-one Hopkins students represented the school at the CMEA Southern Region Festival with brilliant performances in Orchestra, Band, Jazz/Back, Mixed Chorus, and Treble Choir. Hopkins had one of the largest contingents of students at the festival, making a strong statement that our musicians are serious about their craft and are eager to put themselves in challenging and rewarding situations. We wish them well as they now being to practice and prepare for All-State auditions on February 2nd.
