This past week, the Hopkins Varsity Boys Basketball Team came away with two big wins. The first one came against King on Wednesday, January 23, where they won 54-43. It was a crucial rebound for the team after a string of three straight losses. This past Friday, January 25, the Hilltoppers hosted Capital Prep in front of a large, rowdy home crowd. Everyone came dressed up in crazy clothes and made tons of noise. Hopkins lead at the half, but Capital Prep attempted to make a comeback in the second half. But, Hopkins was able to hold them off and win 70-61. This was a very important win for the team as it gives them confidence for the upcoming week in which they face Hamden Hall, St. Lukes, and Brunswick.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
