Faculty Visit the Class of 2020

Hopkins faculty members visited the homes of each graduate from the Class of 2020 on Friday, June 5, the day the class officially graduated from Hopkins School. Faculty members surprised each senior with a collection of gifts including two lawn signs, graduation announcement cards, and a copy of the New Haven Register from that day, which contained a full page congratulating the class. The following video features some of the images from those visits, along with a message at the end from Head of School Kai Bynum.

"While your career at Hopkins is complete, your task is not over," Dr. Bynum explains. "As you see the state of our society and our community—battling through the COVID Crisis and acknowledging the pain of racial injustice—I encourage you to take on the task of helping us all find a better way forward together. You all have the skills and ability to do just that, each of you with different interest and perspectives, but all of you should feel empowered with the will to work to help us realize goodness in this world."
