Spring Health and Safety Agreement for Competition

The following protocols will be used for sports games on our campus this season.

Screening
  • All Hopkins participants (athletes, coaches, managers) must complete Magnus screening prior to their arrival on campus. 
  • Officials will complete screening with an Athletic Trainer upon arrival to the field.  
  • Visiting teams must be screened prior to their arrival on campus.  Screening must include a temperature and symptom check.  Visiting teams are responsible for providing proof of screening.

Masks
  • Only 2-ply (or higher) cloth or paper masks with loops will be permitted, and all masks must fit snugly. 
  • Two-ply gaiters are permitted during supervised athletic activities ONLY. This includes intramurals and all levels of team sports as deemed appropriate by the Athletic Department.  
  • Bandanas, masks with valves, and single-ply masks may not be used on campus. 
  • If a plastic face-shield is used, it must be accompanied by a face mask.  
  • Masks must be worn at all times when on campus. 
  • Masks will be worn under helmets. 

Social Distancing
  • Care should be taken to maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet between each individual as much as possible.  
  • Follow indicated traffic patterns throughout WCAC, including when entering and exiting the locker room.  
  • Avoid class/team huddles, handshakes, and all unnecessary person-to-person contact.  
  • Space out personal belongings and water bottles along the sideline or perimeter of the room. 

Spectators
  • Two spectators per family will be allowed.  
  • All athletes should be dropped off in Forest Lot.  
  • Spectators should park and enter through the Knollwood entrance.  All spectators must wear masks at all times that adhere to Hopkins mask guidelines (see above), maintain social distance between families and remain in the designated spectator area.  Physical distancing is necessary upon entering, moving throughout, and exiting campus. Spectators will also be asked to abide by a strict physical distance policy of six feet between groups. 
  • No parents are allowed on the sidelines. 
  • No social gatherings will be allowed before or after games.  Spectators will not be screened but they are asked to refrain from coming to campus if they are feeling ill.



Locker rooms
  • Locker rooms are available for Hopkins students to get equipment from their lockers.  
  • No team meetings are allowed in locker rooms.  
  • Visiting teams will not have access to locker rooms.

Game Day
  • All athletes should plan to arrive through Forest Rd
  • Visiting teams should not arrive more than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time
  • Touchless water jugs will be available, but all athletes should bring their own water bottles filled 
  • Hand sanitizer, cleaning spray, and extra masks will be available at all game locations
