Hopkins Defeat by Holy Child in Thrilling Competition

Holy Child beat Hopkins 2-1 in a close and competitive season opener. Senior goaltender Hannah Ceisler fought hard in cage for the Hilltoppers making countless saves. In the 2nd half, Holy Child capitalized on a penalty stroke, taking a 1-0 lead. The Hilltoppers turned up the offensive pressure and did not let up. With 5 minutes remaining, Katie Viselli assisted, sophomore Daya Baums beautiful reverse shot to cage, which tied the game 1-1. 
Despite Holy Child poking one home late to win 2-1, the Hilltoppers showed grit and gave fans an exciting opener to the season. The team takes on St. Luke’s at home on Tuesday.
