A Night on Haunted Hill!

The Hopkins community gathered for an evening of music and Halloween fun on Friday, October 29, for the first “Night on Haunted Hill.”

The event showcased the talents of the Arts Department, StuCo, and parent volunteers who transformed the Thompson Quad into a fall festival with spooky lighting, fog, decorations and activities.

Parents and students gathered to hear musical selections from Hopkins musicians including Concert Choir, Jazz Choir, Treble Choir, 7th Grade Chorus, Concert Band, Jazz Band, 7th and 8th grade Instrumental Ensembles, and Orchestra.

Following the concert the Hopkins Drama Association opened the doors of Lovell for a Haunted House to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank. Spooky stage lights, props and, of course, actors in full costume filled the screaming halls of Lovell to give everyone a good fright. This year's theme was Urban Legends and included such classics as Bloody Mary and Creepy Clowns. Guides led our trembling guests from the lower lobby through the theater and down the back stairs by the boiler room navigating their way past familiar legends and unexpected jump-scares.

We hope everyone had a spooky fun time!
