Girls Tennis are New England Runners Up

The Varsity Girls placed second in the New England Tournament this weekend.
On Saturday, Hopkins Varsity Girls Tennis hosted the quarterfinals and semifinals of the New England Tournament.  They edged out St. Mark's and Middlesex, respectively.  The team earned a place in Sunday's final match against NEPSAC #1 seed Winsor, which took place at Babson College.

The doubles teams played first, with our #1 team winning, our #2 team losing, and the #3 team moving into a tie breaker round.  Singles came on the courts and while the matches were very close, Winsor won the #2, 3, and 4 matches.  According to NEPSAC tournament rules, all other play was suspended, and Hopkins took 2nd place in the tournament.

Congratulations to all the players!  We are so proud of your season.  Let's go Hop!
