Congratulations to the Class of 2022!

On the morning of Friday, June 10, 2022 at a beautiful ceremony on the Hill, 141 members of the Class of 2022 graduated from Hopkins School, surrounded by family, friends, faculty and staff.

Head of School Kai Bynum began the festivities, followed by an Invocation by The Reverend Dean Sarah Birmingham Drummond, M.Div., Ph.D., Founding Dean of the Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School.   Senior Class President Christopher Ruaño gave the Salutatory address, in which he encouraged his classmates to write their own story, even when it gets tough, and to seek out joy. He later presented Dr. Bynum with the Senior Class Gift, the "2022 Fun Fund" which the class hopes will provide opportunities for Hopkins students to let off steam and possibly build a swing set.  Senior Maisie Bilston delivered the Valedictory Address, in which she shared a story about lessons learned in how to measure success while attending extra help sessions in Calculus from Mr. McCord. She encouraged her classmates to find balance between a willingness to work hard and a readiness to pause and enjoy the journey. 
 
Vince Calarco, President of the Hopkins Committee of Trustees, accompanied by Head Adviser Emilie Harris '06, delivered diplomas to each graduating senior, as well as Dr. Bynum, who was presented with an honorary diploma as his tenure as Head of Hopkins School comes to a close with this school year.
