Yesterday, May 3, the Junior Class was visited by Hopkins Alumnus Ron Delfini '84, who shared with them the incredible opportunities of the Alumni/ae Association's Job Shadow Program.

Since June 2007, Juniors have had the opportunity to participate in the Hopkins Alumni/ae Association Job Shadow program. Initiated by Ron Delfini '84, former Trustee, the Job Shadow Program identifies internship opportunities among area alumni/ae (which also includes NYC and Boston). The program matches rising Seniors with internships in professional areas that are of interest to them. Each student spends one day "at work" with their host alumnus/a. The Job Shadow committee has filled students’ requests for visits with veterinarians, physicians and surgeons, aerospace engineers, architects, investment managers, attorneys and judges, theatre producers, educators, marketing directors, public relations directors, and journalists. The students have a unique opportunity to talk with their host/alumnus/a about future training programs and career directions in addition to sharing the day’s experience. Comments from students who have taken advantage of this opportunity include: “An awesome experience”, “The perfect mix,” and “A great experience”
