Tom joined the Alumni & Development Office in September 2018, after spending the last several years in University Relations at Wesleyan University, most recently serving as Director of Alumni & Parent Relations. Originally from Pennsylvania, Tom attended Perkiomen School, where he graduated valedictorian. Tom went on to earn a degree in Government from Wesleyan University and holds an M.A. in Political Management from The George Washington University. Tom lives in Glastonbury with his wife, Stephanie, and three kids, enjoys traveling extensively, and spends every fall cheering for the Washington Redskins and the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Lauren joined the Alumni & Development Office in 2007 after 4 years as the Director of Development and Parent Liaison at Dutchess Day School in Millbrook, NY. Lauren lives in Woodbridge with her husband, Chris, and their two daughters Kelsey and Ally. A graduate of Cornell University and four-year boarding student at Westminster School, she has enjoyed being involved in and learning the culture of a day school. When not at Hopkins, she enjoys reading, running, watching the NY Rangers and most importantly spending time with her family.
Dan joined the Alumni & Development Office in 2005. He enjoys working with faculty, staff, alumni/ae, and parents on a wide range of topics related to office technology and systems, both new and old. A transplant from the Midwest, Dan now lives in Madison with his wife, Minette, and his two daughters, Maya and Riley. When not at Hopkins, he enjoys traveling to Latin America, baking, golf, photography and reading about technology, economics, finance, travel and cooking.
Jennifer joined the Alumni & Development Office in July of 2019. As an alumna, past parent, and administrator at two CT independent schools, Mead and Whitby, Jennifer understands the many groups that work together to make a school community thrive. She is dedicated to hunger alleviation and has volunteered for nonprofits such as Operation Hope, CT Food Bank and Save the Children. Jennifer also spent a delicious five years working in the advancement office of the “other CIA,” the Culinary Institute of America. She is a passionate foodie and loves to cook. She also enjoys travel (especially to Paris, Maine and the Caribbean), reading and spending time with her husband and two adult children.
Charlie joined the Alumni & Development Office in 2016 after stints in nonprofit development and fundraising, and investment management. Prior to joining Hopkins, Charlie spent five years in South Africa helping to develop a world-class, affordable high school for underserved youth. Charlie has a passion for independent schools having studied at The Roxbury Latin School and Phillips Academy. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy with a concentration in Religious Studies from Kenyon College, where he also captained the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams. Charlie lives in New Haven with his wife, Thabisa, and two kids, Elethu and Asante.
Beth Ann joined the Alumni & Development Office in December 2018. She comes to us from the Taft School where she has served as the Assistant Director of Development for three and a half years. Prior to the onset of her career in development, Beth Ann provided services and built relationships within the financial sector of the vintage and high-end car industry. She brings over a decade of account management and fundraising experience to Hopkins and holds a B.A. in English from Fairfield University. Away from the Hop, Beth Ann lives in Milford, where she is an avid racing sailor, enjoys activity on the water, playing amateur chef and traveling.
Donna joined the Alumni & Development Office in 2014. In her role, she helps to create directed communications for the purpose of stewardship and fund-raising. Donna greatly enjoys being part of Hopkins' vibrant learning community. She, her husband, Matt, and their 7-year-old son, Matthew, live in Stratford, CT. When not at Hopkins, she enjoys theater, live jazz music, art, playing the piano, reading and family time.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
