Hopkins improved its record to 3-3 with a 2-0 win over St. Luke's. The Hilltoppers had a hard time connecting passes in the first half. Amar Kalaria and Dylan Sloan both went close while Luca Richo helped pull strings in the middle of the field.
It wasn't until the second half that Hopkins found a way through a compact and resolute St. Luke's defense. Richo played a quick free kick to Bruno Moscarini who unleashed from outside the box for his second goal of the season. 10 minutes later, Kalaria found Max Karlan in the box. The diminutive midfielder popped up with a neat header into the corner.
Paul Molter made 3 saves and earned his second shutout. He was helped in the back by Avi Shein, Jack Dove, Tyler Bahamonde, Eli Sabin, and Peter Neugebauer.
Hopkins travels to Masters tomorrow for its next FAA game.
