Affording Hopkins

Malone Scholars Program

Hopkins seeks exceptionally gifted students with the motivation to excel in this highly academic environment. As the result of a very generous grant from the Malone Family Foundation, Hopkins is able to award several students the designation of "Malone Scholar." Students considered for this honor must place in the top five percent of their class and demonstrate academic achievement, exemplary citizenship, and leadership potential as well as significant financial need. In addition to tuition expenses, the program will provide a stipend for educational expenses related to the student's course of study and extracurricular activities at Hopkins.
As with all Hopkins students, Malone Scholars will follow an advanced course load including mathematics, science, English, history, classical and modern language and the arts. It is expected that students selected to be Malone Scholars will choose to participate in some of our many extracurricular activities.
Malone Scholars will be selected through the normal admissions and financial aid procedures, no additional application is required. Admission and financial aid applications are due by January 15.
