Transportation at Hopkins

Our students come to Hopkins by foot, bicycle, car, bus and train.  We draw students from more than 60 towns and villages in Connecticut, bringing together a highly motivated learning community from many backgrounds, traditions and experiences.  With nearly 50% of our enrolled students living 15 miles or more from our New Haven campus, we are the most geographically diverse day school in Connecticut. Hopkins works with public and private transportation systems to serve our families. Unless otherwise noted, separate fees apply for bus and train transportation.

DRIVING TO CAMPUS:

A great many students are dropped off and picked up each day in one of our three main parking lots – Thompson Lot, Knollwood Lot, and Forest Lot.  The School encourages families to create carpool systems with other families from the same town or neighborhoods.

PARKING ON CAMPUS:
Faculty and staff, as well as 11th and 12th grade students who complete a Parking Application and Agreement, are assigned a parking space on campus for the year.
