New Haven Alumni/ae Gather at the Union League Cafe
Hopkins held its 3rd annual New Haven Alumni/ae Gathering on Thursday, November 8. The Union League Cafe hosted over 165 attendees, which included alumni/ae, faculty, staff, trustees, faculty emeriti/ae, students and parents. Alumni/ae representation spanned 7 decades, from 1944 to 2018. A highlight of the evening was a special symposium of students from visual arts classes at Hopkins. The students presented a variety of their works, ranging from charcoal drawings to pencil sketches to photographs, accompanied by faculty members Jackie Labelle-Young, Jon Nast ‘97, Robert Smith, and Peter Ziou. Everyone enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks, as well as remarks from Head of School Kai Bynum, in which he gave an update on Hopkins in the current school year.
