Hopkins played an exceptional Homecoming game against a very good Avon team. After falling behind early, a captain connection tied the game at 1-1. Luca Richo fired a free kick to Avi Shein who headed home from inside the box. Minutes later, Richo found senior Rob Tullonge, who scored with a rasping left-footed shot.
Avon scored twice before Richo equalized with a rebounded header. Avon scored two to end the game at 5-3.
Hopkins hosts Rye in its final FAA regular season game of the season. Kickoff is Wednesday at 4:30.
