Hopkins 7th grader Coco Fath '19 has been riding horses since the age of six, and has been competing nationally for many years.
Hopkins 7th grader Coco Fath '19 began horseback riding at the age of six following in the footsteps of her older sisters including Amanda Fath '12. This past weekend Coco won reserve champion (second place) at the Washington International Horse Show competing against the top 25 qualifiers in the U.S. in the Pony Equitation division.
Three weeks ago, Coco was the youngest rider to qualify for the National American League finals Children’s Hunter Horse division held in Harrisburg, PA scoring an 87 and winning the first of the two rounds on her 14 year old Gelding “Monopoly.”
The prior week, Coco was among the top ten finalists at the World Champion Hunter Riders competition and was the Northeast Regional Champion at the Capital Challenge Horse Show in Upperville, MD. Also at Capital Challenge, Coco and her new mare “Crystal Clear” won champion in the Children’s Hunter Horse division.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
