IRIS and the CT Food Bank


This morning at assembly, the Student Council invited Chris George, Director of IRIS (Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services), a refugee resettlement organization in New Haven to speak at assembly.

This morning at assembly, the Student Council invited Chris George, Director of IRIS (Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services), a refugee resettlement organization in New Haven to speak at assembly. StuCo invited him to celebrate the kickoff of the annual Canned Food Drive to benefit the CT Food Bank. George explained to the students the importance of a program like IRIS and how IRIS clients directly benefit from the CT Food Bank and the fundraising that Hopkins students are out doing in the community.
