Guy Geyer Marcus '09 Honored by American Physical Society
Guy Geyer Marcus, Hopkins Class of 2009, and Wesleyan University Class of 2013, won the Leroy Apker Award for the American Physical Society for his Wesleyan senior thesis.
Guy Geyer Marcus, Hopkins class of 2009, graduated from Wesleyan University in 2013. Earlier this year, it was announced that Guy won the Leroy Apker Award for the American Physical Society for his Wesleyan senior thesis, the highest prize offered in the United States for an undergraduate thesis in physics. His prizewinning thesis was titled: “Rotational Dynamics of Anisotropic Particles in Turbulence: Measurements of Lagrangian Vorticity and the Effects of Alignment with the Velocity Gradient.”
Guy is currently working toward a Ph.D in theoretical physics at Johns Hopkins University. Congratulations Guy!
