Italian cooking and poems from the Modern Language Department

Students taking Italian recently traveled to NYC to take an Italian cooking class. Read on for the story and some other recent highlights from the Italian program!

Italian teacher Teresa Picarazzi shares these recent highlights of the Italian program at Hopkins:

Italian 3 and AP Italian students this winter enjoyed a trip to the ICE (Institute of Culinary Education), where they learned how to prepare a full course Italian meal, followed by a walking tour of Eataly across the street. The students and I had an incredible day!

We were also pleased to present a poem performance at assembly earlier in February. AP Italian 4 students Lucy Berman '15 and Marcie Gallagher '15 sang "Quant'e' bella giovinezza" (1490), by Lorenzo de' Medici. Matt Dailis '15 accompanied then on the guitar.
