For the 7th year in a row, Hopkins' Science Olympiad took home the first place trophy in the state competition at the University of Connecticut over break, with the B Team coming in 3rd place!
For the 7th year in a row, Hopkins Science Olympiad took home the first place trophy in the state competition at the University of Connecticut, with the B Team coming in 3rd place. The competition was fierce as the team beat out South Windsor, for the fourth year in a row, for top honors. Overall, Hopkins earned over 20 medals, setting a record for most medals earned by Hopkins in one year. Hopkins earned eight gold medals (in events such as Forensics, Entomology, and It’s About Time, among others), ten silver medals (in events such as Experimental Design and Astronomy, among others) and two bronze (in events Green Generation and Wright Stuff). A team of fifteen students and four alternates will be heading to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln to compete in the National Science Olympiad in May. Wish them luck in the National competition!
