Hopkins Keeps Knocking King in 4--0 Tennis Triumph
On Wednesday, May 13, the Hopkins boys junior varsity tennis team had a home match against King Low Heywood Thomas, a secondary school located in Stamford. King brought a small contingent of 7 eager, sportsmanlike, but outmanned players to take part in an abbreviated 1 singles, 3 doubles contest between our two schools. The day was dry but breezy, with temperatures in the mid 60s. Here are the individual results; the number two doubles match proved to be extremely close, with both the King team and the Hopkins team demonstrating particular poise and perseverance, but in the end Hopkins proved just to be a little more consistent.
Hopkins is a private middle school and high school for grades 7-12. Located on a campus overlooking New Haven, CT, the School takes pride in its intellectually curious students as well as its dedicated faculty and staff.
