Ben ’17 and Will ’16 Collier

Brothers Ben ’17 and Will ’16 Collier are helping to send thousands of pounds of food waste to food banks through the FarmLink project, a grassroots movement they helped found. The nonprofit connects farms with the understocked and understaffed food banks, linking the two in a virtuous cycle, while 100% of monetary donations to FarmLink are used to pay the wages of farm workers and truckers. In just a few weeks, their project has taken off and made an impressive impact, with over 100,000 pounds of food transported to food banks and over $120,000 raised. In recent days they have established a breakthrough partnership with Uber Freight, which is providing logistics and transportation services.

Thank you, Ben and Will, for identifying the disruption in the supply chain and building an effective solution to the problem in such a short time. Learn more about FarmLink on their website, thefarmlinkproject.org and follow them on Instagram at @farmlinkproject.
