Hopkins beats The Gunnery 6-1

Captain Luca Richo scored twice to lead the Hilltoppers to a 6-1 win over the visiting Gunnery. With the win, Hopkins improves to 5-3-1 for the season. Richo was the first on the score sheet after finishing a Max Fujimori (2023) cross. Jack Consiglio (2020) then finished from a Robert Tullonge (2020) through ball before Richo scored again from distance. Consiglio got his brace after getting on the end of yet another Tullonge pass. After the break, 8th grader Henry Glover scored his first Varsity goal by heading home a driven Fujimori corner. Tullonge finished the scoring with a smart header from a Consiglio cross. The Gunnery scored with about 15 minutes to wrap up the goals. Teddy Glover and Owen Lamothe played well in goal. Captains Kiernan Barket and Avi Shein led the back line alongside Collin Gernhardt (2020) and Alex Schuster (2020). Hopkins next plays Avon Old Farms at Homecoming this Saturday. Kickoff is at 3:00.
