The Hopkins Community Participates in IRIS Run with Refugees

On Sunday, February 9, the annual IRIS Run with Refugees event was held in downtown New Haven. Despite the snowstorm, the 5K run had an outstanding turnout, including members of the Hopkins community.

The Hopkins IRIS Club surpassed its fundraising goal of $2,000, raising $3,553, with nine students personally fundraising for the team. The team consisted of 18 registered student runners and five staff members who supported the club at the race.

"It was truly inspiring to see everyone come together to show such strong support for IRIS and the New Haven community," said co-head Saidan T. '25.

The Hopkins IRIS Club works on campus to support the initiatives of Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS), a New Haven-based organization.
