Hopkins Wins Double Overtime Thriller
Hopkins won a double overtime thriller against Masters this afternoon. After a scoreless first half, Luca Richo (2020) struck with a ferocious, dipping left-footed drive from 25 yards out.
The Hilltoppers went close on a few different occasions before Masters equalized with three minutes to go.
The teams traded chances in the first overtime period. But it wasn't until there were 80 seconds left that Minjae Ko (2019) scored the winner. Richo whipped a ball into the box, where senior captain Bruno Moscarini (2019) drilled a shot against the near post. Ko tapped in the rebound.
Hopkins hosts St. Luke's in the FAA Final on Saturday. Kickoff is at 1:30.
