Mrs. Connelly awarded Toshiba STEM Grant for JSchool Robotics

Science teacher Mrs. Connelly has received an ExploraVision STEM grant from the Toshiba America Foundation to start the JSchool Robotics program this year.  On Wednesday November 28, Tim Strange, a representative from Toshiba came to visit Hopkins and presented Mrs. Connelly with a $4,500 check and certificate.  Her application was one of 60 chosen from a pool of over 2,000 applications.  Toshiba awards grants to schools who are looking to start programs that promote engineering, critical thinking, and problem solving.  Mrs. Connelly will be starting up the JSchool Robotics program next week, as the winter activities session begins.
