For the second time at Hopkins, the Student Council hosted a Field Day for students across grades 7-12. The event featured food trucks like Melt Mobile and Ay! Arepa, games like football and ultimate frisbee, traditional events like a three-legged race and tug of war, and a faculty dunking booth, as well as Hopkins themed tattoos and face paint. The event was attended by over 600 students and faculty, and event-themed shirts were given to everyone who bought tickets in advance.
The day's festivities culminated in the Pit at 6:00pm, when two students from each grade joined their teammates in the Field Day decathlon. Ultimately, the Gray team (2016, 2018, and 2020) defeated the Maroon team (2017, 2019, 2021), displaying superior speed, top-notch camaraderie, and a knack for human pyramid racing.
Congratulations Gray team! And thank you to Will Simon and the Student Council for another excited and successful field day!
