So the last game of the year was much like so many others. It was drizzly and foggy, the field was sodden in front of the creases, and the game was close. Hamden Hall came to the other side of town with a plan and they stuck with it. A packed in 3-3 zone limited the host Hilltoppers to few shots and these had to be form the outside or in crowds. And having the best offensive player hampered by injuries sustained in the last game vs Gunnery hurt (literally.) Captain Mark Festa played bravely but not for a whole game with what may well be a broken wrist and Mike Rogers did his best with a very painful separated shoulder and a lot of attention from the Hornets, who limited his looks almost completely. Senior attackers Connor Kistler(2/0) and Erik Jorgemsen(1/0) and freshman Sasha Possick(1/0) got the only tallies of the day and the hosts fell to the visitors 5-4. Special thanks to our managers this spring- senior Louise Newman and junior Nicole Wolfe. This is one of the rainiest springs ever and they have been wonderful sports while doing a terrific job with home and away games.
