From April 22 to April 24, 2013, Hopkins welcomed back Glenn Hall, a representative from the drug and alcohol prevention education organization, Freedom from Chemical Dependency (FCD).  "Mr. G," whom many students met during last year's program, spoke at a special assembly Monday morning, where he shared with the students his own experience growing up around drugs and alcohol and how his bad choices affected his life. He told them of his long struggle and triumph over his addictions.

Over the four day visit he met with students in grade-level meetings and in smaller groups of ninth grade students in both biology and health classes. Students were also encouraged to ask questions and seek Mr. Hall's counsel throughout the day in the cafe or in Heath Commons. On Thursday morning, Mr. G also met with parents at a Parent Council breakfast.
