Hopkins to Host PCA Events
In the upcoming weeks, there will be workshops from the Positive Coaching Alliance for both athletes and coaches.
The Positive Coaching Alliance is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is "to change the culture of youth sports so that every child, regardless of social or economic circumstance, has access to a positive youth sports experience." Learn more about PCA here.
On Wednesday, 1/7 at 12:30 PM, PCA will present "Making Teammates Better" in B8. The workshop is open to 10th and 11th graders, and captains. The workshop aims to provide student-athletes a deeper view into how teammates can help each other improve through leadership, positive communication, and positive initiation. The workshop aims to show coaches how stress can impact their players, and how forming a supportive connection can help buffer the impacts of the stress.
