Elyssa Power '28 Receives Romanian American National Heritage Award

Sophomore Elyssa Power was recently honored with the National Silver Award at the 2025 Romanian American National Heritage Awards (RANHA), held on September 20 in Chicago, Illinois. This distinction is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and a profound commitment to community service. Elyssa’s recognition reflects her dedication to academic excellence and her meaningful impact as a student and community leader. 

The awards ceremony took place during the Romanian Community Summit in September 2025, and was officiated by His Excellency Andrei Muraru, Ambassador of Romania to the United States. Ambassador Muraru personally presented the awards, recognizing the outstanding contributions of Romanian-American youth to both their local communities and the broader cultural heritage.
